Absorb • Circulate • Release - A Simple Way to Understand the Body

The body is complex, but it isn’t chaotic.

At its most basic, it needs to do three things well:

  • absorb what it needs

  • circulate what it has

  • release what it no longer needs

When these functions are working, balance tends to follow naturally. When one is compromised, the effects ripple outward.

If absorption is impaired, nourishment doesn’t land — no matter how good the food or information is.
If circulation is restricted, energy and signals stagnate.
If release is incomplete, tension and waste accumulate.

Most symptoms can be traced back to one or more of these processes being under strain.

Rather than asking “What’s wrong?”, this framework asks:

  • What isn’t landing?

  • What isn’t moving?

  • What isn’t being let go of?

This shifts the conversation from judgement to orientation. From fixing to understanding.

Living from practice means returning to these fundamentals again and again; gently, without urgency and allowing the body to show where support is needed.
